As per reports, Elordi had previously featured on Amazon’s reported shortlist for their upcoming Bond franchise. However, buzz about his casting lead to debate over his height possibly derailing his chances of being the super spy. Many noted that the actor would be too tall and would 'stand out' while playing the British spy. At the same time, reports stated that as the actor was under 30, he could be a frontrunner, as the studio is considering a younger actor to lead the rebooted era after Craig’s turn in 'No Time to Die'.Since his role in the teen drama 'Euphoria', Jacob has seen a meteoric rise in his acting career. His recent turn as Frankenstein won him an Oscar nomination and a Critics Choice Award win for Best Supporting Actor.

Bond 26 will be directed by Villeneuve and written by Steven Knight, creator of 'Peaky Blinders'. Production is reportedly slated to begin by October 2026 or early 2027, with a release planned for 2028.
