Previous Episode

#Simon says: “Guys, to be honest, my excitement level soars each time I see you, my mighty travelers. I can feel a kind of bonding with you guys, ah whatever I guess you all know why we are here today. Yes, that’s it, today we are going to explore one of the nostalgic film characters of all time ‘Spiderman’ and its possibilities on #Whatif ‘Spiderman’ was made in ‘Mollywood’. 3…2….1…Turning on the engines… and let’s start….

Possibility 1: Tobey Maguire’s Spiderman aka Vineeth Kumar

#Simon says: “ Tobey Maguire as Spiderman was beloved by people because of his charming and innocent looks and of course his acting skills. Tobey Maguire’s Spiderman just showed the audience that even a normal man could be a superhero. Coming to the Mollywood remake, just by the look similarity to Tobey Maguire and the innocence, the actor Vineeth Kumar could perfectly helm the role of Spiderman and that could be one of the iconic roles that he will ever do in the Malayalam film industry”

Possibility 2: Andrew Garfield’s Spiderman aka Sarjano Khalid

#Simon says: “ Andrew Garfield also has that innocent look similar to Tobey Maguire. But he has a combination of both gritty look and charm, so for the Mollywood remake of Andrew Garfield’s ‘Spiderman’, we see the actor Sarjano Khalid as the close possibility to helm the role.”

Possibility 3: Tom Holland’s Spiderman aka Kalidas Jayaram

#Simon says: “ Tom Holland’s version of Spiderman was the most accurate spider-man as the real Spiderman comic character was actually a school kid. When it comes to replacing Tom Holland with a Malayalam actor, the close possibility to play his role would be Kalidas Jayaram as he has kind of schoolboy vibes and also his we have all seen his terrific acting skills in the anthology film ‘Paava Kadhaigal’, so quit worrying on how he will perform as Spiderman, he will just shine in the role.”

5/10

Possibility 4: Dr. Otto Octavius aka Karunan Chanthakkavala

#Simon says: “ Yea that’s it, the iconic character from Cid Moosa ‘Karunan Chanthakkavala’, played by Captain Raju, meets another iconic character Dr. Otto Octavius played by the actor Alfred Molina in Spider-Man 2. From dressing style to wearing those black shades, see how perfectly they match and the irony is that one of the characters, Dr. Otto Octavius, is a perfect villain and the other one ‘Karunan Chanthakkavala’ is one of the funny characters in the film ‘Cid Moosa’.”

6/10

Possibility 5: Green Goblin aka Siddique

#Simon says: “ Green Goblin, the terrifying villain from the first part of Spiderman could be reprised by none other than actor Siddique as he has done a couple of antagonist roles which he has executed with near perfection. People love to see the actor Siddique in villain roles and what’s the perfect option other than to cast him as Green Goblin for the Mollywood remake of ‘Spiderman”

Possibility 6: MJ aka Nazriya Nazim

#Simon says: “ MJ played by the actress Zendaya was one of the best introductions by Marvel to the Spiderman series as the girlfriend of Peter Parker. Zendaya has the looks which could be said as a perfect combination of both young and mature. So coming to the Mollywood remake the perfect choice to play her character would be none other than Nazriya Nazim. It is void of any doubts on whether Nazriya would play the MJ character with perfection, looking by the track record of her stunning performances in her films.”

Possibility 7: Aunt May by Marisa Tomei aka Shobana

#Simon says:” I think we have seen the actress Shobana in many of our previous realms too, reprising prominent roles, that is mainly because of her excellent acting skills combined with her alluring looks. Here too Aunt May played by Marisa Tomei is a perfect replacement with Shobana and it would be hard to find a choice better than her to reprise the role”

Possibility 8: No to swinging on buildings

#Simon says: “American-born Spidey has all the options to use his web-swinging abilities due to the presence of several huge buildings and flat or even helicopters. But have you ever thought of what a boy with spider powers would do in a village area where there is a lack of such tall buildings? Poor village spidey would be left with zero options to use his swinging abilities or else he would have to swing on trees, as he is in Kerala, then most probably he would swing on coconut trees”.

Possibility 9: Aunt May by Rosemary Harris aka Sukumari

#Simon says: “ No one could forget the character Aunt May played by Rosemary in the earlier parts of Spiderman series and the cuteness of the character was one of the main attractions. Coming to the Mollywood remake, the old Aunt May character would perfectly suit the late legendary actress Sukumari with her adding a bit of humor to the character.

#Simon says: So that’s it guys, we have come to the end of this episode. We have covered the majority of the possibilities on #Whatif ‘Spiderman’ was made in Mollywood, and by the looks and acting skills, most of the possibilities could work perfectly. Hope you guys all loved today’s journey and stay tuned to the #Whatif series as new adventures are on the horizon. See you all next week, at the same time where we will be traveling into much deeper realms in the cinematic universe”
