'Pahalgam': Major Ravi announces new film; Mohanlal rumored to reunite with the 'Keerthi Chakra' director

Filmmaker Major Ravi, known for his patriotic and military-themed blockbusters, has announced his next project titled 'Pahalgam'. The film, which is said to celebrate the valour, sacrifice, and emotional strength of Indian soldiers, officially began with a script pooja ceremony held at Mookambika Temple.

Director Jayaram Kailas attended the event and extended his heartfelt wishes to Major Ravi and his team.

As reported by the Reporters Live website, the 'Keerthi Chakra' director revealed that the film will be a pan-India release. There are plans to dub the war drama into multiple languages to reach a wider audience. The project is currently in its pre-production stage. Reports say that the filming is expected to commence soon.


The film’s technical crew includes top talents: S. Thirunavukarasu as the cinematographer, Don Max as the editor, Harshavardhan Rameshwar composing the music, Vineesh Banglan heading production design, and Ronex Xavier handling makeup.

Meanwhile, buzz in the industry suggests that Mohanlal and Major Ravi—the duo behind classics like 'Keerthi Chakra' (2006) and 'Kurukshetra' (2008)—are gearing up for another high-impact action drama.

According to reports shared by Cine Loco on X (formerly Twitter), the upcoming film will feature Mohanlal, R. Sarath Kumar, and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles. The technical team reportedly includes Thiru and Arjun Ravi as the Directors of Photography, Kecha Khampakdee as the action choreographer, and Don Max once again as editor.

Unfortunately, majority of the fans are sharing mixed reactions to Mohanlal and Major Ravi's collaboration.
