Mayamohini team reunite for Dileep’s next film

After last year’s blockbuster, `Mayamohini', the film’s team is now apparently making it a habit of sorts to team up for every Onam release and repeat the box office success. Dileep, director Jose Thomas and writers Sibi K Thomas and Udayakrishna are all set to reunite for another entertainer this year, which will be the actor’s festival release.
While it took the team 14 years since Udayapuram Sulthan to reunite for Mayamohini, they are wasting no time to recreate the box office magic this time around.On the combination, director Jose tells us, “There is a harmony between me and writers Sibi and Udayakrishna because we had started out together 15 years ago, and during our initial years, we did six films. Every Dileep movie comes with pressure as the audience would be expecting good comedy; our upcoming movie would also fall in that genre. It’s a full-length entertainer that tells a love story through humour.”
On the story of the yet-to-be-titled movie, Jose says, “It’s about a guy who belongs to a weavers’ community in Palghat. He dreams of becoming rich quickly and is not interested in the family trade of making wedding saris. However, the advice that he gets is he is not capable of doing a business but the best way to become rich is to get married to a girl from a ridiculously wealthy family. The rest of the story evolves on how he tries to fall in love and finds himself in odd situations.”
While the lead actress is yet to be cast, the team has already roped in Nedumudi Venu, Lal, Baburaj and Joy Mathew for the film that will begin filming on June 10 in locations at Palghat, Pollachi, Pazhani and Ottapalam.
