Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri’s Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video gets an edge over Alia Bhatt’s Jigra

After the super success of Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2, the Hindi box office is witnessing two major films releasing on October 11th. Riding high on the success of Stree 2, Rajkummar Rao is set to star in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video alongside Triptii Dimri, directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and backed by Bhushan Kumar. Opposite this is Alia Bhatt’s home production Jigra, directed by Vasan Bala and produced by Karan Johar.While Vicky Vidya is a comedy entertainer about a personal video getting stolen, Alia’s Jigra is a rescue drama where she plays a character trying to save her brother, played by Vedang Raina, who has been wrongfully convicted of drug trafficking.Whenever there’s a box office clash, one film often secures more screens than the other. In this case, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video has edged out Jigra, securing over 2,600 screens, with more likely to be added before the film’s release and as the weekend progresses.
