‘Maharaja Hostel’ teaser: Social media stars Akhil NRD, Akhil Sha, Sharath Babu lead horror comedy on haunted college life - Watch

From time immemorial, college hostels have been the perfect premise for horror stories - both on and off the screen. The upcoming Malayalam film ‘Maharaja Hostel’ seems to bet on the same. After launching the first look poster, the makers of the film have unveiled the teaser on Saturday, January 24. Directed by Charu Wakan, the teaser shows a sneak peek of a run-down boys' hostel in the city. Social media influencers Akhil NRD, Akhil Sha, and Sharath Babu appear in key roles in the film. The teaser opens with hostel warden, MGR ,sharing some stories linked to the hostel. It is followed by some incidents that occur to the young men who seek accommodation at the hostel. Check out the teaser here.Helmed by Charu Wakan, the film features Akhil NRD, Akhil Sha, Sharath, and Sandeep in lead roles. Actors Chithra Nair, Sajin Cherukayil, and Ann Maria will be seen in some supporting roles in the film. On the technical front, the film’s cinematography is done by Ashkar.The editing department is handled by Nithish Misra. The music is composed by Ashwin Ram. The costumes are designed by Saritha Sugeeth, and the makeup is done by Rasheed Ahammed. Velu Vazhayoor is in charge of the art department. While launching the teaser, the makers have confirmed the film is a summer release. The release date, however, is yet to be announced.
