How Malayalam Cinema Quietly Dominated Indian Cinema in 2025
Journey as an actor
George Kora entered the silver screen through the film 'Premam'. The film became very popular and helped him get noticed. After that he became part of films like 'Janaki Jaane', 'Mukundan Unni Associates', and 'Christy'.
Director, writer, and what’s next
George Kora has also directed films like 'Thirike' and 'Tholvi FC'. He worked as a scriptwriter along with Althaf Salim for the film 'Njandukalude Naattil Oridavela'.
Earlier, in an interview with The South First, George said, "I worked for 'Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela' and it was a feel-good film.
The movie did well, and as a writer, I got an opportunity to work in that space. When I decided to direct a film, I wanted to talk about brotherhood, and Thirike just happened.”
He also said, “Women are more stronger than men. The women in my life — whether it’s my mom, sister, aunts, or friends — are all more capable and independent than men. The women characters in my films are inspired by these women.”
Up next, George will be directing the zombie film 'Jambi'. The glimpse of it was shown during the end credits of Dhyan Sreenivasan’s 'Detective Ujjwalan'.
