The Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA) 2025, which was held in Mumbai on December 1, celebrated the best films and OTT series released in 2024.Big WinnersLaapataa Ladies emerged as a big winner, sweeping multiple awards and becoming the most-awarded film at the ceremony. Directed by Kiran Rao, the film won in the Direction, Story, Screenplay, Dialogue, Music, Production Design and Acting categories. Nitanshi Goel won for her debut performance, while Ravi Kishan picked up two awards - Supporting Actor (Male) & Comedy. The film also won several People’s Choice awards.Amar Singh Chamkila was another major highlight, winning awards for Background Score, Writing and Editing. It was also named OTT Web Film of the Year. Diljit Dosanjh won Web Film Acting Excellence (Male) for his performance, while Parineeti Chopra won Acting Excellence (Female). Other films that won across categories include Kill, Stree 2, Munjya and Shaitaan.

OTT ImpactIn the OTT series category, Mirzapur Season 3 won Drama Series of the Year, while Panchayat Season 3 was awarded Comedy Series of the Year. Killer Soup won in the Crime/Horror/Thriller category. Actor Junaid Khan won OTT Web Film Debut Actor of the Year for Maharaj. Sonakshi Sinha and Manisha Koirala (Heeramandi), Jaideep Ahlawat (Maharaj and Broken News S2), Shalini Pandey (Maharaj), Sharvari Wagh (Maharaj) and Johnny Lever (Lantrani) were awarded across various OTT categories.People’s Choice

The People’s Choice Awards recognised winners chosen by the audience. Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor won the Acting Excellence Male and Female Awards for theatrical films. Jitendra Kumar and Huma Qureshi won Acting Excellence honours for web series. Pankaj Tripathi won for his role in Stree 2 and Sharvari Wagh was awarded for her performance in the web film Maharaj.
