Sanjana to play herself and appear in a song in Indrajit Lankesh’s next

Actress Sanjana Anand has been roped in to play herself in both a special role and a special song, in Indrajit Lankesh’s upcoming film, Gowri. Speaking about the foot-tapping number, Sanjana says, “It’s an absolute banger that gets everyone on the dance floor. Indrajit sir’s songs project the characters in a beautiful and a classy way and this is no different. That said, the pattern of this song is very different from what we have seen all these years. Playing myself was also another unique experience.”

“It is not just another song because it has a special role in taking the movie forward. The song adds weightage to the movie, which is why I decided to take it up,” she adds.

“We did rehearsals for two days and shot the song in another two days. The lead, Samarjit Lankesh, has put in a lot of effort. It just didn’t feel like his debut film at all. His dance skills are good, and he managed all the right expressions whilst shaking the leg to the peppy number,” she signs off.
