The team of the Kannada film

Ramesh Aravind has resumed shooting in Pahalgam after a delay of over a year following a terror attack in the region.
“Our team had come here for a recce last year, and the attack happened just a week later. So we postponed our schedule,” says
Janvi Rayala, who is the film’s producer. “We’ve now returned to Kashmir for the shoot. We filmed earlier in Srinagar, and the major portions are currently being shot in Pahalgam,” she explains.
Locals in Kashmir depend heavily on tourism, especially in Pahalgam. Now it’s slowly coming back. Instead of always going abroad, we should explore and support such beautiful parts of our own country

‘The security now is very tight and reassuring’Addressing safety concerns, Janvi says the situation has improved significantly. “There is CRPF presence everywhere. The police are constantly alert, especially when we are shooting. There’s a strong sense of security around us,” she says, adding that the team feels safe working on location. That said, logistics have posed challenges. “Every single item, including stoves and cooking vessels, must be thoroughly scanned. Props sent from Bengaluru took three to four days to reach us,” she explains. These checks delayed the shoot by a couple of days. “We weren’t fully aware of how detailed the process would be, but it’s completely understandable given the circumstances,” she adds. Despite the delays and added effort, changing the location was never considered. “Our director was very clear — he wanted to shoot here itself, without compromise or CGI. So we waited until things became normal and safe,” Janvi says
