Madras High Court has resolved the 'Bro Code' title dispute, allowing Ravi Mohan Studios to proceed with their film. A compromise was reached with a liquor manufacturer, ending the legal battle. This clears the path for the movie, directed by Karthik Yogi and starring SJ Suryah, to move towards its release without further obstacles.
The kidnapping and assault of Kannada filmmaker Aneesh have changed course owing to the investigating team's collaboration. What started as a shocking story about a car sale gone wrong is actually a much bigger, planned-out plot involving money disputes and secret communication between the involved parties. With 11 accused, including actor Aishwarya, already in custody, the fresh legal developments have shifted the focus to how the crime was executed and who played what role.

Court grants more time for a deeper investigation

As reported by India Today, the court has allowed the police to continue custodial interrogation and collect more evidence. Investigators told the court that the attack was tied to earlier money issues, including an alleged Rs 2.5 lakh loan and a dispute over an investment of about Rs 5-6 lakh in the film 'Jeevanada Bhashe.' The sequence matters as it enables the police to check call records, follow the financial trail, and construct the communication between the suspects.

From fake car deal to brutal assault

It describes the journey Aneesh took from Mumbai to Bangalore after he received confirmation of a buyer for his Honda CRV. He was then allegedly taken to a house on the outskirts, where he was assaulted and pressured to withdraw previous complaints. Police say he was robbed of gold and cash, forced into a vehicle, attacked again near a toll area, and later hospitalised. The alleged use of his ATM card to withdraw money has strengthened the robbery angle in the case.

Bigger conspiracy under the scanner

With the victim healing from various injuries, the case is in focus to find out the initiator, the people who organized the meeting, and those who were contacted during the attack.
