Why did Salman Khan borrow money from his bodyguards?

It's next to impossible to believe that a superstar of his stature, who is the biggest money churner of Bollywood, would need to borrow money from his own salaried staff. But this piece of news is as true as it gets and the reason why Salman did that is very heart-touching. As per a reliable source, Salman was partying at a famous restaurant in Bandra, Mumbai with his family and having a good time until wee hours of the morning. When Salman stepped out of the restaurant, a few poor kids, who were selling colouring books, saw him and rushed towards him to meet and greet him. They requested him to buy some of their books. Salman, who mostly carries credit cards, didn't have enough cash to help the kids and hence, borrowed money from one of his own body guards and handed them over to the kids. Apparently, Salman handed Rs 500 each to those kids. Do we even need to say how pleasantly surprised those little kids were? Salman is not called 'Bhaijaan' for nothing!
This is not the first time that Salman showed his generous side. Click on the next slide to read about many such charitable acts of this 'Being Human' star...

Salman Khan doesn't keep his promise to Kashmiri widow's family?

While shooting in Kashmir for Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Salman Khan had apparently promised to rehabilitate a family. Moved by Zaina Begum's application for help, he had offered a job for the only male child in the family and a house. The destitute widow has been quoted in the report as saying that, "He left us after promising much. The new house is incomplete. I've tried to call his bodyguard, Shera, several times. He never answers and sometimes his phone is out of reach. Before the release of the film, they would call us, but now they have stopped taking our calls. I've left my studies and I'm looking for odd jobs to support my family, still hoping that Salman Khan will keep his promise to us." However, a source close to the actor has refuted the family claims and said, "We got work for the old lady's grandson in the art department of Bajrangi Bhaijaan while we were shooting in Kashmir. He is the only male child in the family and needs a job in the vicinity. We have requested few people for a job for him in the Valley. The source also insists that the house that Bhaijaan had promised the family is under construction but it will take a month's time to complete, post which he has assured that the pictures of the new house will be shared with the media.

Salman Khan had his first encounter with the press after the May 6 verdict in the 2002 hit-and-run case, and he admitted that he doesn't deserve the outpouring of love, reports Mumbai Mirror. At a hotel in Sonamarg, all eyes were on Salman, who had arrived in the valley last week to shoot for Kabir Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The actor looked visibly tired after a long shoot but began on a cheerful note. "We're stupid to go to Switzerland. There is no other place on planet Earth that is as beautiful as Kashmir," the report quoted Salman. The actor kept his calm when asked about his legal troubles. "My problems are too small compared to what is happening in the world. I don't know if I deserve so much love but I am accepting it. I sincerely owe a lot to everyone who has stood by me," said Salman. The actor, who has adopted a family in Kashmir, asserted, “I will do whatever it takes to make a person's life better... For me politics is social work and I will continue doing that." Talking about declining the offer to be the brand ambassador of J&K, Salman cheekily said, "Why only Kashmir? I will become the brand ambassador of India."
