When Triptii Dimri confessed that there was a time she wanted to ‘do everything, even Bigg Boss’ to become famous
Triptii Dimri is one of the most sought after actresses in Hindi cinema today, thanks to the humongous success of ‘Animal’. The actress who recently delivered ‘Bad Newz’, has earlier spoken about how badly she ‘wanted to be famous’.
Triptii Dimri, who made her debut as a lead actor with ‘Laila Majnu’ in 2018, expected that the film would work well. She hoped that people would stop her on the streat and the fame would be real. However, ‘Laila Majnu’ didn’t fare well in the theatres. In an earlier interview with Vogue India, Triptii Dimri spoke about how she was ‘heartbroken’. With no experience, no connection and no knowledge of how to navigate, Triptii made her entry into films. The actress later starred in ‘Bulbbul’, which undoubtedly grabbed eyeballs.
Talking to the magazine, Triptii Dimri spoke about how, in the beginning, she wanted to ‘do everything… even Bigg Boss’, as she just wanted to be famous. However, that has now metamorphosed into something deeper, and purposeful.
On the work front, Triptii’s recent outing was ‘Bad Newz’. She essayed the lead role alongside Vicky Kaushal, and Ammy Virk. ETimes rated the film 3.5 out of 5 and the review reads, “Two heroes in a comedic duel for the heroine feels like a familiar rom-com setup. The plot might not surprise you, but the film shines in its outrageous humour. While the script and screenplay remain on uneven ground, director Anand Tiwari and writers Tarun Dudeja and Ishita Moitra understand that laughter is the key ingredient. Jokes and one-liners (by Dudeja) pepper the narrative, ensuring you'll chuckle even after a supposedly serious scene. The film feels light and breezy, with the cast seemingly having a blast themselves.”
