Divya Bharti was
Shah Rukh Khan's first co-star. They acted together in "Deewana" (1992) and "Dil Aashna Hai," directed by Hema Malini, which also came out in the same year. People loved their chemistry on screen. Even though it's been more than thirty years since the movies were released (and Divya's sad passing), fans still remember and enjoy SRK and Divya's moments together. Recently, fans looked back on an event organized by
Hema Malini and Dharmendra for "Dil Aashna Hai."
Shah Rukh and Divya attended the event with Dharmendra and Hema. In the old video, Shah Rukh came on stage first and received a bouquet. He stood between Hema and Dharmendra for a photo. But when Bharti came, Shah Rukh moved aside so she could be in the spotlight. He also made space for her to stand comfortably and pose with the hosts. In the same video, Divya Bharti touched Dharmendra's feet, and the gesture is still lauded by the fans. Fans went on the thread and reminisced about Divya: “Miss this lady so much! How beautiful is she?” a fan commented. Another one said, “Miss you, Divya Bharti.”
Divya started acting in 1990, when she was 15 years old. Her first movie was the Tamil film "Nila Pennae." After that, she worked in Telugu movies for a year before making her Bollywood debut in 1992 with "Vishwatma." Divya quickly became famous and signed many movies, one after another. When she was 19, she got married to director-producer Sajid Nadiadwala in 1992.
However, in 1993, when she was 19 years old, Divya passed away. Her death deeply affected the country. On April 5, 1993, she fell from the balcony of her fifth-floor apartment in Mumbai. She was taken to the hospital, but unfortunately passed away. Her death led to many conspiracy theories.
When Divya passed away, she had 12 movies lined up. Some of these were "Laadla" (which later went to Sridevi), "Mohra," "Dilwale" (replaced by Raveena Tandon), and "Hulchul" (replaced by Kajol).
