Sunil Dutt, who remains an iconic figure in Indian cinema and public service, passed away on May 25, 2005, due to a heart attack at his Bandra residence. His untimely death occurred just a year before Sanjay completed his jail term related to arms possession charges. Married to actress Nargis, Dutt’s life was marked by remarkable contributions both in films and in social work.
