Shreyas Talpade opens up about financial instability; reveals he took inspiration from Amitabh Bachchan's journey out of bankruptcy

Actor Shreyas Talpade, known for his versatile roles in Bollywood, recently revealed the financial instability he faced as an actor in the film industry.

Reflecting on his journey since the success of 'Iqbal' in 2005, Talpade candidly discussed the uncertainties and financial hardships often encountered by actors in an interview with Indian Express. Emphasizing the unpredictability of an actor's income, he shared how his mother initially encouraged him to seek a 'steady job' out of concern about his acting career. "There are uncertainties in this field. Some succeed, but many face difficulties," he explained.

Talpade shed light on the anxiety actors experience, not knowing when their next paycheck might arrive, and thus leading to self-doubt. Despite being part of successful movies like 'Golmaal 3,' 'Housefull 2,' 'Wah Taj,' and 'Poster Boys,' he stressed upon the industry's instability and the importance of acknowledging that career setbacks don't define life entirely.

"Your work is only part of life, not your life. You learn these things in your journey," he explained.

Drawing inspiration from Amitabh Bachchan's rise to megastardom, Talpade noted that the veteran star was once bankrupt and subsequently overcame his financial voes. "Mr. Bachchan was completely down and out but rose like a phoenix. You just have to be patient and keep working," he noted, finding motivation in Bachchan's inspiring comeback story.
