Shefali Jariwala passes away: Mumabi police arrive at Cooper hospital mortuary to maintain security

In the wake of actress Shefali Jariwala’s untimely death, officials from Mumbai’s Juhu Police Station arrived at the mortuary of Cooper Hospital. Their presence is part of the ongoing investigation and to ensure that all security arrangements are in place.

Shefali, who rose to fame with the iconic music video 'Kaanta Laga' and later appeared in Bigg Boss 13, passed away at the age of 42 after reportedly suffering a cardiac arrest. She was rushed to the hospital by her husband, Parag Tyagi, but was declared dead on arrival.

Her body was later taken to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem examination, where an official report is awaited. Police officials are reportedly monitoring the situation closely to rule out any foul play.

So far, the family has not issued a formal statement, and details about her final rites are still awaited.

Earlier today, the forensic team visited Shefali's residence and conducted a detailed search of the entire house as part of the investigation. The presence of both police and forensic experts suggests that authorities are trying to rule out any potential suspicious activity that may have lead to her untimely demise.

Moreover, according to reports, the Mumbai Police have started a preliminary investigation into her death. This comes after ANI reported that she was found lifeless at her home. The police are reportedly questioning the cook and domestic help and others to understand what happened during the hours leading up to her death.
