One of them is a contemporarysci-fi fantasy adventure that he’d like to get rolling by the year endwith some of Hollywood’s biggest technicians at the helm. He wants toshoot portions of it in NASA, Singapore and China. “I am making it the wayHollywood does and it is being made keeping in mind people living in thesub-continent. Supported with the scientific angle, the film will serve stronghuman relationships between four leads, brought together by destiny for asubject of national pride. That’s all I can reveal at this stage. Coupleof production houses with a vision have shown keen interest in the subject. I amglad for their patience and trust since this sci-fi film requires around 27weeks of pre-production. I am sure the wait will be worth it.”
The second one is a period film set in the Aryans and Dravidians era.Passing through their conflicts will be a blooming love story. A set of prolificwriters are already on the job. “Though there’s very littleliterature available on this, I should be able to take you into a whole newworld,” he says. Both films seem to be set on huge canvas and big budgets.
Isn’t there too much at stake? “The generation atdoorstep is currently thriving big time on crisp qualitative content dished outin their own respectable regional languages by Hollywood studios. As makers, what choice do we have? We only got to think bigger and better. My forte liesthere!” concludes Sanjay.
