Explaining the reason behind the delay, the Padma Shri recipient clarified that the issue has nothing to do with him personally and stems from a technical disagreement between Akshay Kumar and the makers of the film.

“It’s like kachva chaap agarbatti”

Reacting to reports about legal trouble, Rawal said, “All this that had blown up in between that Akshay Kumar has sued me for Rs 25 crores, that is all okay yaa, it's like kachva chaap agarbatti.”He added that once the technical matter between the producer and Akshay Kumar is resolved, he is ready to come on board. According to Rawal, his participation hinges entirely on that resolution.

“Doing Hera Pheri without Babu Rao will be a disaster”

Reiterating the importance of his iconic character, Babu Rao, Rawal made it clear that the essence of Hera Pheri cannot be compromised.
“But even at the cost of modesty, I am saying that if they’re going with the idea of doing Hera Pheri without Babu Rao, then it will be a disaster,” he quipped. Wrapping up his comments, the veteran actor expressed confidence in the film eventually taking off.“So, it's simple, if this gets resolved between the two, I will sign the papers. Nothing to do with me, but it will happen 100%.”
