Mike Farrell returns to the small screen with ‘9-1-1’: First web series role in 7 years

Veteran actor Mike Farrell recently returned to the small screen for the first time in 7 years. The ‘M*A*S*H’ star recently joined the ‘9-1-1’ cast for a brief guest appearance. Read on to know more about his return to the small screen.Mike Farrell recently starred as a guest character in season 9, episode 10 of ‘9-1-1.’ He played the role of Bill Schneider, an elderly man who waits at the airport to pick up his girlfriend and meet her. The decision, however, does not sit well with his son (played by Jason Gray-Stanford). He thinks that his father’s attempts are futile and that he is being catfished by a random person online. His last appearance in a web series was in 2019, when he played the role of Judge Miles Deakin briefly for ‘NCIS’ season 16. Mike Farrell is a well-known veteran TV and film actor, who is best known for his sitcom ‘M*A*S*H’ and ‘The Questor Tapes.’ Over the years, he has worked as an actor, producer, and activist. He has also served as the head of a non-profit organization that works and advocates for the removal of the death penalty from the list of punishments. Some of his other works include ‘The Red Road’, ‘Supernatural’, ‘Vows of Deception’, ‘Patch Adams’, ‘Vanishing Act’, ‘The Interns’, and many others. This is not the only project that Farrell is returning with. Other than ‘9-1-1’, the veteran star and ‘M*A*S*H’ alum will also be appearing in the film ‘The Strawberry.’ The official synopsis for the upcoming film reads, “After a terminal diagnosis, Herb Kaplan seeks peace with his broken family and the joy he long overlooked. As old wounds heal and new bonds form, he learns to cherish the sweetness in front of him and say goodbye on his own terms.”He will be starring in the film along with Doug Jones, Suanne Spoke, Angelina Barbieri, Cathy Brody, Josh Garrett, Chris Landgreen, and Ivette Li-Sanchez, along with many others.
