Mouni Roy, Suraj Nambiar's marriage ended six months ago, but haven't applied for divorce yet: Report

Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar sparked rumours of divorce after eagle eyed fans spotted that they have unfollowed each other on Instagram. After these speculations began, Mouni also removed pictures with him from social media and Suraj deleted his Instagram account. While reports suggested that the couple is already divorced and also alleged that Suraj cheated, Mouni broke silence on it and wrote on her story, “Humbly requesting all the media houses to not publish false narratives and give us space and privacy. Please.”

Now after Mouni's reaction, journalist Vickey Lalwani has revealed that the couple separated six months ago, though they haven't yet filed for divorce. His post read, "Mouni Roy’s long distance marriage with Dubai based business man Suraj Nambiar is over. The longing has disappeared, the passion has evaporated and the fights have escalated. Barring a miracle, the two of them are not getting back together. This journalist has it that the couple has not been staying together at all since the past 6 months. In the recent past, I hear, Mouni has also been shifting residences. In hindsight, if we all think hard, Mouni was attending all social functions alone since October 2025. How Mouni managed to keep her break-up off the media’s prying eyes may give her some brownie points- but this journalist now also has it that Mouni has also been talking to a couple of lawyers. If things proceed fast, a counselling session awaits her and of course, Suraj as well. So they haven’t applied for divorce as some mediapersons have reported, at least not yet."



Lalwani further said that it was a situation like shown in the film 'Abhimaan' where the wife was more popular than the husband. He said, "Amid cheating rumours in sections of the media, yours truly has also heard that Suraj has also been feeling how Amitabh Bachchan felt at Jaya Bhaudri’s recognition in the 1973 Hrishikesh Mukherjee classic Abhimaan; a source reveals that while he maybe loaded with money, Suraj often felt whenever he was in Mumbai, that hardly anybody seems to know him unlike his wife who’s recognised almost everywhere. Prior to Suraj, Mouni had two serious relationships- Gaurav Chopra and Mohit Raina. If only, all fairytales had a happy ending..."
