Actor Meiyang Chang opened up about his close friend Prashant Tamang and the phase he was going through before his passing. He said Prashant’s recent work meant a lot to him. “His recent work in Paatal Lok Season 2 and the upcoming film with Salman Khan were big milestones in his career. Prashant was pleased and excited about this phase,” Meiyang shared in an interview.He said this period felt like a strong return for Prashant. After years of work, travel, and learning, things were finally falling into place.

Plans that never happened

Meiyang said the news came as a big shock. They had plans to meet soon. “The news came as a huge shock because we were all busy with our work and had planned to meet in Mumbai this week,” he said in an interview with IANS.

Prashant had told him he needed to return for dubbing work for Galwan. “We had last met in November, and the idea was to meet again in January, but that never happened,” Meiyang added.He also said, “He was also shooting with Salman Khan, which made the news even more difficult to process.”

A friendship full of care

Talking about their bond, Meiyang said, “At just 43, he was far too young to leave us. We shared a long and deep friendship, and we cared for each other deeply.”He shared that he had just returned from the funeral. “I have just returned from his funeral.
We were in Darjeeling… We are still shocked,” he said.

Remembering the man he was

Meiyang spoke about Prashant’s nature with warmth. “He would ask me simple, innocent questions about auditions and casting agents,” he recalled.He added, “He was a very kind, gentle, and respectful person.”Expressing hope, he said, “I only hope that when Galwan releases, audiences will see his work and appreciate his talent once again.”Meiyang also wished strength for Prashant’s wife and daughter and said they will support them always.
