'Literally killed someone’s dream': Talwiinder opens up about his reaction to leaked viral video
Singer Talwiinder, known for hiding his face behind a mask, reacted to viral videos revealing his identity from Nupur Sanon and Stebin Ben’s wedding. He said the leak felt like his “face was snatched away” but remains positive, focusing on music over visuals. His hits include 'Haseen' and 'Khayaal'.
Talwiinder, the singer famous for keeping his identity hidden behind a mask, has finally addressed the viral clips that showed his uncovered face. The videos, believed to be from Nupur Sanon and Stebin Ben’s wedding in Rajasthan last month, spread rapidly across social media. During a recent interview, Talwiinder revealed that watching those videos left him unsettled and disappointed, admitting he wasn’t in the best state of mind at the time. Since his debut in 2018, the artist has intentionally kept his face away from the public eye, maintaining an air of mystery around his persona.

Talwiinder says his face was ‘snatched away’

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter India, he said, "I woke up to the video; I saw my face everywhere. I was not in the right state of mind when I saw it; I felt like my face was snatched away from me. My world turned upside down. You're seeing people making content on it. For the person who gave the video to the media, for what, for Rs 5,000, Rs 10,000, Rs 20,000, or Rs 50,000? You literally just killed someone’s dream."

Talwiinder remains positive despite the privacy breach

Sharing his perspective, Talwiinder explained that his art is meant to connect through sound rather than visuals. The singer emphasized that his focus has always been on how his music makes people feel, not how he looks. "I’m making music for people to feel. Sometimes the visual can distract the audience from getting the message," the singer said. Even though his privacy was invaded, Talwiinder maintained a grounded attitude, insisting he doesn’t wish to play the victim or avoid the limelight.
" What kind of artist complains about getting this much attention? Sab ko apna ghar chalana hai (Everyone has to run their house). It’s okay if I’m getting used in the process. As long as somebody’s getting views, they’re happy, and I’m happy. There’s so much love; I don’t even focus on the hate,” he expressed.
