With 2019 coming to an end and big-budget films like 'Dabangg 3', 'Good Newwz' and others yet to release, we take a look at the Bollywood films which started with a bang at the ticket counters. With the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and others having no release in this year, Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan and others have stepped up and managed to grab all the limelight. Here's a list of 2019's biggest openers as per the numbers available on Boxofficeindia.com.

Touted as the perfectionist with the best body in Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan, who was recently declared as the sexiest man of the decade, gave the audience this year's biggest opening film 'War'. The film which also stars Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor shattered several box office records and recorded the highest ever opening day collection for a Bollywood film by beating Aamir Khan's 'Thugs of Hindostan' which held the record since last year. With Rs 50.61 crore from its first day itself, Hrithik has managed to win over the audience with his swift moves in the high octane action flick.

Salman Khan (Bharat: Rs 41.62 crore)

After a flop show last year, Salman Khan was adamant to impress the audience once again and came out with one of the most ambitious projects of his career 'Bharat'. With the increasing fandom, Akki is also closing in on the Rs 1000 crore record at the box office with 'Good Newwz' yet to release in December.

South superstar Prabhas has become a worldwide phenomenon due to the success of 'Baahubali' which introduced Indian cinema's evolution to the world.
