Kareena Kapoor Khan reflects on ‘tough’ 2025 after Saif Ali Khan's knife attack, ‘We cried a lot, we prayed and now we are here'
Kareena Kapoor Khan took to social media on the last day of 2025 to look back on what she described as a deeply challenging year for her and her family. Sharing a picture with husband Saif Ali Khan, the actor acknowledged the emotional toll the year had taken on them.
“As we sit down and reflect on the fact that we made it to the last day of the year... we walked this far,” Kareena wrote, hinting at the struggles the family endured behind closed doors.
She added candidly, “2025 has been a difficult year for us, our children and our families... But we went through it, heads held high, laughing and holding on.”
Expressing gratitude to those who stood by them during the difficult phase, the actor wrote, “We want to thank our fans, our friends, and everyone who stood by us and continues to support us... and above all, the lord almighty.”
Speaking about the incident for the first time on Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle, Saif recalled how the night unfolded. “We had just gone to sleep... it was around 2 o'clock in the morning. Kareena came back, we had a small chat, and then we went to sleep,” he said.
He revealed that chaos broke out when their maid rushed in. “She said that somebody was there in Jeh's room and asking for money. I barged into Jeh's room in the dark, and I saw this guy standing over his bed with a knife.”
Describing the confrontation, Saif added, “I thought he was smaller than me, so I jumped on him. Jeh later told me it was a big mistake. He had two knives and started slashing all over me.”
He also spoke about son Taimur witnessing the aftermath. “Taimur looked at me and said, ‘Oh my God.’ He thought I was probably going to die. I told him, ‘I’m not going to die. I’m fine.’”
