Fresh buzz confirms that, the actor is ready to impress audiences in an all-new role.As per reports, Ishaan is slated to take on a comedy role after his turn in 'Homebound'. According to Variety India, the specifics of his next project are under wraps, but the still-untitled feature will be directed by Palash Vaswani, best known for the series ‘Gullak’.Marking Vaswani’s directorial debut in feature films, this project has Ishaan already locked in. The producers are now casting the female lead and other key roles. As per the report, filming kicks off in the next few months. Ishaan's standout performances, in 'The Royals' and 'Homebound', India's official entry to the Oscars, has already given fans a look at his broad range and skill.On the work front, Khatter was last seen in the film 'Homebound', directed by Neeraj Ghaywan. The film tracks the journey of two lifelong friends in a North Indian town - Chandan (Vishal Jethwa), a Dalit, and Shoaib (Ishaan Khatter), a Muslim. The two dream of becoming police officers to escape deep hate. But delayed exam results change everything, sparking desperation and hurting their friendship.Ishaan is also set for ‘The Royals Season 2’. The makers announced their Netflix comeback early this year. The reveal came with their post: “Old money, new blood, and a new season is in the works. The Royals Season 2 is coming soon, only on Netflix." Season 1 brought together Bhumi Pednekar, Udit Arora, Zeenat Aman, Sakshi Tanwar, and Ishaan. It tracks Prince Aviraaj Singh (Ishaan) as he faces royal pressures following his father King Yuvanath's passing.
