Bipasha Basu, who is known for her love for fitness, had mentioned a couple of years ago how she would love to launch elf-defense training centres for women. And now, it seems the actress has stayed true to her word by setting up self-defense training centres not only in Mumbai but in Delhi and Kolkata as well. Bipasha aims to have the centres up and running by the end of this year and is busy ensuring that they are launched on schedule.
Sources say that the centres will focus on mixed martial arts and karate and that Bipasha will even have a special session at the end of each course. The actress confirmed that she was opening the centres and added that the idea stemmed from her love for fitness. She also said that it was important for women to know self defense moves given the rising rate of crime in the city. Bipasha said that today’s working women not only need to focus on their health by exercising regularly but also learn self-defense techniques that could come in handy at any time. She added that she hoped women would take advantage of these fitness centres.
