Rajinikanth's 'Coolie' is enjoying a slight edge at the box office over 'War 2', particularly in the crucial Andhra Pradesh and Telangana markets. The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial, which was released alongside the Hrithik Roshan–Jr NTR starrer, has emerged as the stronger contender in the Nizam region over its opening weekend.

Extended weekend numbers in Nizam

As per a report by 123Telugu, the film grossed an impressive Rs 1.6 crore on Sunday, its fourth day in theaters. This pushed the extended weekend total to a solid Rs 12 crore from all languages in Nizam alone. While Sunday's earnings dipped slightly compared to Saturday's Rs 2.65 crore share, the film's overall performance shows its clear hold over audiences.

'War 2' yet to match the pace

On the other hand, 'War 2', one of Bollywood’s most ambitious action spectacles featuring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, has struggled to keep up in the region. Its four-day Nizam collection has been pegged at around Rs 10 crore, falling short of Rajinikanth's box office numbers. With both films now stepping into the working week, it remains to be seen whether 'Coolie' can maintain its strong momentum or if 'War 2' will make a late push.See More:'Coolie' box office collection day 5 (Live): Rajinikanth starrer holds strong, to surpass Rs 200 crore in India
