After the success of 'Subh Mangal Saavhan', the producer-actor duo of Aanand L. Rai and
Ayushmann Khurrana is reuniting once again, this time for a gay love story titled 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan'. The film, which will be a comedy featuring a homosexual love story, has finally gone on the floors today. The makers today announced the commencing of the film.
The film was slated to hit the screens on Valentine’s Day next year. However, with the announcement of the latest update, the makers also revealed that the film will now hit the screens on a new date. 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan' will now hit the screens on March 13, 2020.
The change in release date indicates that the makers have averted a box office clash on Valentine's Day next year. The film was scheduled to clash with
Aditya Roy Kapur and Disha Patani starrer 'Malang' and
Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan starrer 'Aaj Kal' on February 14, 2020.
Writer Hitesh Kewalya who had written the screenplay and dialogues for ‘Shubh Mangal Savdhan’ will be directing the sequel. The first part of the film which starred Ayushamann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar was based on erectile dysfunction.
'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan' also features Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao in significant roles.
Imtiaz Ali's 'Aaj Kal' is the sequel to his 2009 film 'Love Aaj Kal' which starrer Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. The film will see lovebirds Sara and Kartik romancing on-screen. On the other hand, Mohit Suri's 'Malang', features Disha Patani, Aditya Roy Kapur, Anil Kapoor, and Kunal Kemmu in pivotal roles.
