Filmmaker Ayan Mukerji has seemingly moved on from his action film 'War 2' and is now getting work underway for the next chapter in the Astraverse. The director, who headed for the hills after wrapping up work on the spy saga, took to his social meida handle over the weekend, to share photos from his hotel. Besides sharing his stunning view, he also posted photos from a hike around the valley and even posted photos of his laptop, teasing a script in the works. On Sunday, the director sparked excitement across social media with his cryptic caption that read, "Pt 2" and added an “Om” emoticon.The post soon left fans debating whether his next project would be 'Brahmastra 2' or a sequel to 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani'. However, the comment section was instantly flooded with reactions from users convinced that he has “officially moved on to Brahmastra 2.”While the sequel to Brahmastra was announced a couple of years ago, the film was reportedly put on hold for Ayan's spy film. The first instalment, 'Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva', starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt released back in 2022. Following the release, the sequel, 'Brahmastra: Part Two – Dev' was announced. The film will reportedly delve deeper into the origins of Dev, the mysterious antagonist teased in the post-credit scene. According to reports, the upcoming film will have a darker tone and a more intense narrative compared to the first chapter.Although rumours suggest that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone could take over as the central leads, fans are still unsure whether Ranbir and Alia will reprise their roles.The film was originally slated for a December 2026 release, with the third and final part of the trilogy set up for a December 2027 release. However, with the delays in the sequel, new release dates are awaited.
