Hazaribag youth drowns in pond

Hazaribag: A youth drowned in a pond at Sezhua village in Hazaribag district on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Aditya Raj, a resident of Sezhua.Locals said Aditya went to the pond, along with his two friends, Anurag Kumar Yadav of Sezhua and Aryash Kumar Mehta of Bonga village, to take a bath around 2:30 pm. He began to drown as soon as he entered the water. His friends raised an alarm. A local youth jumped into the water and pulled Aditya out. He was taken to a hospital, where doctors declared him ‘brought dead’. The body was sent to the Hazaribag Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem, and then handed over to his family members.Ichak police said they have lodged a case of unnatural death and were investigating the case.Aditya, who was studying in Ranchi, returned home a month ago.
