The actor was seen at a medical facility last evening, undergoing a check-up. He has been shooting for director-producer-writer Abhishek Dogra's crime-comedy, Jeevan Bheema Yojana in Mumbai for the last few weeks. Owing to his health condition, the actor had called off the day's shoot yesterday and is undergoing surgery today

Bombay Times was the first to tell you that actor Arshad Warsi is expected to undergo a surgery at a medical super-speciality in Mumbai today. The actor, currently shooting for director-producer-writer Abhishek Dogra’s crime-comedy, Jeevan Bheema Yojana in Mumbai, called off the shooting of the film yesterday and made a quick visit to his doctor who advised an immediate surgery.The actor had been experiencing some uneasiness for a few days. The team was expected to shoot a set of crucial scenes with Arshad which had to be called off yesterday. Arshad, who had gone to the hospital for a check up was advised to get himself admitted immediately and undergo a surgery for kidney stone today. The actor has been wheeled in for surgery. He had been under the weather for some days now, but when he felt the situation getting aggravated, he decided to visit the doctor. He has now been advised complete rest, medication and monitored diet and water consumption for the next fortnight or so. He will require some time to recuperate post surgery. Work will commence only when Arshad is cleared for duty by his supervising doctors. When we reached out to Arshad, he confirmed the development, saying, "Yes, and I hate going to hospitals." We wish him a speedy recovery.For the uninitiated, Jeevan Bheema Yojana has been on floors since mid-March. The actor will be seen playing double roles as Jeevan and Bheema, who belong to diametrically different worlds. Their paths cross which leads to utter chaos and confusion.
