Amid relationship rumours with Dhanush, Mrunal Thakur says ‘Love should happen to everyone on this planet’

Mrunal Thakur, who is currently promoting her latest music video Bheegi Bheegi, recently opened up about her views on love, calling it a deeply transformative and healing experience. Speaking amid ongoing relationship rumours linking her to Dhanush, the actor described love as something that helps people evolve into better versions of themselves.

In an interview with Filmygyan, Mrunal said, “I think love is a beautiful feeling and should happen to each and everyone on this planet. It changes you into a better person. It is literally like reparenting and fixing your inner child issues. It’s like the most beautiful thing in the world. I really pray and hope that everyone finds love in their life.”

‘Anyone in love is more giving, not just women’

When asked whether women tend to be more giving when they are in love, Mrunal strongly disagreed, stressing that love is not defined by gender.

“Not necessarily. I disagree. Anyone who is in love is more giving. But what is important in love is to accept it also. Sometimes, it is very difficult to receive love and acknowledge love. The definition of love has been changing,” she said.

The actress further added, “The only constant thing is love. It’s how you receive, there’s a lover, there’s a beloved. When anyone is in love, they are the givers. It doesn’t matter – woman, man, no. Jab pyaar hota hai, you just do things for that person. You just surrender!”

Mrunal is currently busy promoting Bheegi Bheegi, composed by AR Rahman, sung by AR Ameen and Jasleen Royal, and written by Irshad Kamil. The music video also features Dulquer Salmaan and has been drawing attention for its soulful sound and visuals.

Relationship rumours and wedding reports debunked

In recent weeks, Mrunal has also found herself at the centre of relationship rumours linking her to Dhanush. Reports even claimed the two were planning a private wedding on February 14, 2026. However, these claims were officially debunked, with insiders dismissing them as false.

The speculation reportedly began after the actors were spotted together at public events and following a viral interaction at the Son of Sardaar 2 premiere. Mrunal has since addressed the chatter, reiterating that she is focused on her career and is currently “grounded, glowing, and unshaken”.



While fans have noted Dhanush’s presence at events in support of her, neither actor has confirmed a romantic relationship.
