Akshaye Khanna missing from Dishoom's wrap up schedule
Among the most reclusive stars in Bollywood, Akshaye Khanna is known to keep a low profile, so much so, that he is rarely seen in public. He was last seen in 'Gali Gali Chor Hai' in 2012 and is now is all set to return to the big screen with Rohit Dhawan's upcoming action thriller 'Dishoom'. The film, which also stars Varun Dhawan, John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez, has completed its shooting. At the wrap up schedule of the movie, however, while the leading cast and crew were present, Akshaye was missing. The makers, too, kept mum about the actor's absence, which has led to a number of speculations in the media. Both director Rohit Dhawan and producer Sajid Nadiadwala, who were present for the wrap up, chose not to address questions about Akshaye's absence, which is strange considering 'Dishoom' will be the actor's release after a gap of four years.
A daily quoted a source as saying, 'This is a deliberate measure to keep Akshaye under wraps. It is in keeping with his image of staying away from the limelight. The makers are making elaborate plans to bring him into focus when the film's trailer launches and want him to take centre stage only then. So, for now, they want him to lie low as he normally does. It suits him as well as the makers.'

According to reports, Akshaye plays a character with grey shades in the film and had to be persuaded to come on board since he was apprehensive about playing a baddie. The actor is said to have voiced his concerns about playing just a regular bad guy and shared inputs about how his character should be. It remains to be seen whether the makers took his inputs into consideration.
