In the video posted by Akshay Kumar, he and a person dressed as a headless man can be seen walking on a street. The clip showcased the actor asking if the ghosts are real. Akshay can be heard saying, "Ek baat bata, yeh bhoot voot hote hai kya? (Tell me one thing: do ghosts and spirits really exist?)"To which the man replies, "Pata nahi sir, jabse mein paida hua hu, meri maa bolti thi mera baap bhoot hai. Fir mera baap bolta tha meri maa bhootni hai. Lekin mene aisa kuch dekha hi nahi sir. Yeh sab afwayein hai sir, aap inn sab me vishwas mat karo (I don’t know, sir. Ever since I was born, my mother used to say my father is a ghost. Then my father would say my mother is a female ghost. But I’ve never actually seen anything like that, sir. These are all just rumors. You shouldn’t believe in such things, sir)."

As soon as the actor dropped the video, netizens were quick to link 'Bhooth Bangla' with the horror comedy universe film 'Stree 2'. The Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer featured a ghost named Sarkata (headless). Interestingly, Akshay had made a special appearance in the film. A person commented, "Sarkata with Sarkata."
