Did you know that yesteryear actor Jeetendra has worked in over 200 films and 70 remakes?

In the 1980s, Jeetendra was one of Bollywood's top stars, famous for his energetic dance moves and charming personality. He holds a unique record for starring in many hit remakes of South Indian films, often working with famous directors like K. Raghavendra Rao and T. Rama Rao. These movies made him a reliable box-office success.



From the 1960s to the 1990s, Jeetendra impressed audiences with his acting and dancing. He became a trendsetter with his unique style and is the only actor to have worked in 80 remakes films during his career.

Jeetendra played a variety of roles during his successful acting career, earning great admiration from audiences. He holds an unmatched record for starring in remake films, including 75 remakes of South Indian movies and 5 remakes of Hollywood films. With over 200 films to his credit, most of them box-office hits, Jeetendra remains one of Bollywood's most celebrated stars.

In the late 1950s, a young Ravi Kapoor worked at his father’s jewelry shop in Mumbai, where he supplied imitation jewelry to film sets. In 1959, at the age of 17, he visited the sets of V. Shantaram’s Navrang. There, the director noticed him and offered him a unique opportunity to be a body double for the film’s heroine, Sandhya, in certain scenes and dance sequences. Five years later, Ravi Kapoor made his acting debut when V. Shantaram cast him in the film Geet Gaya Patharon Ne in 1964.

Professionally, Jeetendra’s last film as a lead actor was the 2005 romantic drama 'Ho Jaata Hai Pyaar'. In 2020, he made his OTT debut with the web series Baarish. His daughter, Ekta Kapoor, is a well-known producer of television shows and films, while his son, Tusshar Kapoor, has also built a successful acting career.
