Robir Kiran marks 10 glorious years with grand musical evening

Robir Kiran marked its 10th anniversary with a memorable cultural programme at the Satyajit Ray Auditorium, ICCR, in the presence of a packed audience. The evening opened with a soulful solo performance by Sayantani Gupta, founder and creative force behind Robir Kiran. Her presentation, “Rabi—Chitte—Cholocchitre”, featured a curated selection of Rabindranath Tagore’s songs as used by legendary filmmakers such as Ritwik Ghatak and Satyajit Ray, as well as contemporary directors, leaving the audience deeply moved.
The second segment saw the launch of the fifth phase of Akhand Geetabitan (Audio–Visual), inaugurated by Swami Suparnananda Maharaj, Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya, Subhojit Roy, Debashish Saha, and Sukomal Gupta.
The celebrations concluded with “Jāpane Gītāñjali”, performed by the students of Robir Kiran, featuring musical renditions by the ensemble, narration by Debashis Basu, and dance by the Urmila Bhowmick Cultural Troupe.
