Jyoti Amge takes Naomi Grossman for Nagpur darshan
American actress and writer, Naomi Grossman, visited Nagpur to meet the world’s shortest living woman, Jyoti Amge. The two share a special connection, as they both appeared in the fourth season of the FX horror anthology series 'American Horror Story: Freak Show' (2014). Jyoti, who became her guide, took Naomi to various popular places in the City of Oranges, including The Zero Mile, Shree Mahalaxmi Jagdamba Mata Mandir, and Deekshabhoomi.
Jyoti shares, “While we were working together on the show, Naomi had promised me that she would definitely meet me if she ever came to India. I was really happy that she kept her word.”
Naomi is on a tour of India and confesses to being in love with its culture and people. “Nagpur is amazing, and I had a wonderful time here. I met Jyoti after 12 long years. I wish I could have stayed longer,” says she, adding, “I got certified as a yoga instructor at an ashram near Palghar. I even visited Film City in Mumbai to see the set of Anupamaa. After that, I visited the Prince of Rajpipla, Manvendra Singh Gohil and his husband in Gujarat. I am heading to Goa today, followed by Mysore and Kerala. India is very big and beautiful, and I will definitely come back soon.”
