1x1 polls

A documentary film, directed by Jabbar Patel, which captures landmarks in Indian theatre since independence and till the late 1980s was screened here. The closing session was a time to look back on Indian theatre and reflect on the evolution of the modern Indian theatre.
It was also a moment to pause and take stock of the danger of losing folk performances, such as the dramatic Kathakali dance form of the South.
While Mohammed Ali played perfect host, the guests interacted with each other and discussed the plays that were staged. Jabbar Patel was seen engaged in conversation with MS Sathyu.
In another corner we spotted Sampada. Ishita and Rajitha Singh were there as well.
Zia and Mobashir Ansari chatted with Madhu Swaminathan and Tarun Dhanrajgir. Aamer Javeed came in with mom Atiya and cousin Noor and was seen enjoying the screening.
OVERHEARD:
But why weren’t any of the Urdu playwrights featured in the documentary? And how come Pritviraj Kapur was given a miss? Maybe his sequel which is to be released anytime soon will feature them.”
