Tylor Chase's former co-stars Shaun Weiss, Daniel Curtis Lee step up to offer food; rehab after 'homeless' video goes viral

Just days after a video of former child star, Tylor Chase went viral online, his former co-stars are stepping up to help him. Since the video of Tylor allegedly homeless on the streets of California went viral online, actors Shaun Weiss and Daniel Curtis Lee, who featured on 'Ned's Declassified' have gone viral online for their noble efforts to help and rehabilitate their former costar.

Shaun Weiss reaches out to Tylor Chase

Shaun, in a video to fans, said "I reached out to some friends of mine and we have a bed for him at a detox and we have a place for him to go and get long-term treatment."


He went on to add, "Please DM me so we can get him some help in time for the holiday," Weiss added, writing in a caption, "We have a bed for him at a detox."

Shaun had reporedly opened up in the past about his own experiences with homelessness and addiction. He shared on an April episode of Pod Meets World that he benefited from "a tremendous amount of support from people" who were invested in his recovery.

Daniel Curtis Lee offers Tylor Chase food and shelter

In an update from Daniel, while Shaun was able to get him into a hospital, "Tylor later backed out."

Daniel, in an update on his Instagram handle, shared a video from his meeting with Tylor the following day. In the clip, Lee is seen helping Chase off a sidewalk and into his car, after which, they headed to a pizza shop for lunch.

Lee, who played as 'Cookie' on Ned's Declassified, also got co-star Devon Werkheiser, who played the main character 'Ned' from Ned's Declassified on a video call with Chase.

After grabbing lunch, Daniel took him to a hotel room in the neighbourhood and encouraged Chase to check himself into rehab. "Love is all we can really give people some time, and I'm happy that he was able to have that connection with his pops," Lee said.

In another clip, he also shared his long-term plans to help Tylor get back on his feet. He shared, "If anyone knows of a rehab or recovery facility willing to accept Tylor Chase on scholarship, please reach out. I’m also looking for guidance from a financial advisor on setting up a trust where funds are released only after successful completion of a program."

He added, "We want to do this the right way - safe, structured, and supportive."

Previous efforts to raise funds for Chase on GoFundMe were taken down by his mother, who alleged that the former actor could not handle his own finances.
