Nick Reiner is being kept in solitary confinement
According to People, Nick Reiner has been kept at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in downtown Los Angeles. He remains in complete solitary confinement at the mental health wing in the correctional facility. He is currently being kept in a 7-by-10-foot cell.
A statement from the report read, “The inmates [where he is located] have significant mental health illnesses and need to be kept alone and away from any other people or inmates.” It was further revealed that Reiner is given three meals per day and that he gets "about an hour to eat and then a deputy sheriff collects his tray inside his cell.”

The report also revealed that while he is no longer on suicide watch, the authorities have still kept him under close observation for the foreseeable future.

Nick Reiner is also “recorded when he exits his cell to go to court, or for evaluations, or other necessary requirements. He is also evaluated each week by our medical professionals, like psychiatrists on staff, but he did not see one after court.”
Nick Reiner appeared in court as his attorney backed away from the case
On Wednesday, January 7, the accused appeared in court at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center in Los Angeles. During the court visit, he did not enter a plea. The official arraignment has been pushed to February 23.
Not only that, but during the court visit, Nick Reiner’s high-profile attorney Alan Jackson stepped away from the case, citing that he and his legal team had “no other choice.”
While Jackson did not provide a concrete reason to the public over his resignation, he still made a statement to the press outside the court, saying, “Nick Reiner is not guilty of murder.” Reiner has now been allotted a public defender, Kimberly Greene, who will fight and represent his case in court in the following court dates.
