The couple walked the iconic steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art with a refined and coordinated style.

Foster opted for a gold metallic one-shoulder gown that featured gathered detailing and a subtle slit. She paired the look with jewellery from Fred Leighton.

The 'Wolverine' star complemented her in a classic black tuxedo and added a silver brooch pin to complete his ensemble.

Ahead of their red carpet appearance, Hugh Jackman offered fans a glimpse of the evening through Instagram. Sharing a preview of their outfits, he wrote, "Off to the #METGALA2026," while tagging Foster.

While this marked Foster’s debut at the gala, Jackman is no stranger to the event. He has attended multiple editions over the years, making him a familiar face on the red carpet.

Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster previously worked together in the 2022 Broadway production of 'The Music Man'. They confirmed their relationship in January 2025 after being seen holding hands in public, according to People magazine.

They made their first red carpet appearance as a couple in October 2025 during the premiere of Jackman’s film Song Sung Blue. Since then, they have attended several events together, including the New York City premiere of 'The Sheep Detectives'.

Their relationship follows major personal changes. Jackman separated from Furness in September 2023 after 27 years of marriage. Foster filed for divorce from her former husband, Ted Griffin, in October 2024. Both actors have children from their previous marriages.
