Haigakura anime revealed first look at main staff, set for 2024 release

The inaugural glimpse into the world of Haigakura manga's television adaptation emerged through a captivating promotional video, marking a significant milestone for anime enthusiasts. Released via the official Twitter handle, this video not only unveiled tantalizing visuals but also shed light on the eminent talents comprising the anime's core team, while earmarking a highly-anticipated 2024 premiere date.




Steering the anime's directorial helm is Junichi Yamamoto, a seasoned virtuoso known for his work on series such as "Armor Shop for Ladies & Gentlemen," "More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers," and the acclaimed "Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke's Mansion." Under the creative auspices of Typhoon Graphics, Yamamoto's vision promises to bring to life the intricacies of Shinobu Takayama's revered creation.

Yū Murai, celebrated for scripting pivotal episodes of "Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke's Mansion," assumes the role of series composition, infusing depth and coherence into the narrative fabric. Contributing to the anime's allure is the character design crafted by the illustrious Masaki Satō, renowned for his distinctive work on titles like "Slam Dunk," "Ultimate Muscle," and "Record of Ragnarok." Adding an auditory layer of enchantment, Yuki Kurihara, recognized for their work on "Dropkick on My Devil!," is tasked with composing the evocative musical score.

At its core, the storyline of Haigakura unfurls within a secluded realm, a realm inhabited by both divine entities and mortal beings. The narrative orbits around a spirited youth named Ichiyō, embarking on an odyssey to reclaim the fleeing gods scattered across the realm.

Accompanied by the subordinate god Tenkō, Ichiyō's quest pivots around capturing the four malevolent deities holding the crucial key to the realm's impending collapse.

Shinobu Takayama first introduced this captivating tale through serialization in Ichijinsha's Zero-Sum Ward magazine back in 2008. Following the magazine's cessation in 2015, the manga persevered via the Zero-Sum Online service, earning the distinction of being Takayama's most enduring serialization.

With Ichijinsha having published 16 volumes to date, boasting over 1.3 million copies in circulation, the manga's resounding success anticipates a similarly fervent reception for its animated counterpart.

Notably, Takayama's earlier creation, the manga "Amatsuki," previously served as the inspiration for a television anime in 2008, solidifying the creator's prowess in crafting immersive and compelling narratives within the anime realm.
