Ahead of the release of the '
Euphoria' final season, the makers have released a second trailer, offering fans a chaotic glimpse into the lives of its lead characters. Set to premiere on April 12, the trailer was posted with the question, "Have we finally gone too far?"
'Euphoria' Season 3 trailerThe new footage, starkly different from the first trailer, offers a closer look into the plot centuring around the lives of Zendaya's Rue, Sydney Sweeney's Cassie,
Jacob Elordi's Nate,
Alexa Demie's Maddy, Hunter Schafer's Jules and Maude Apatow's Lexi.
'Euphoria' Season 3 plot
Set five years after the events of Season 2, the trailer unfolds the story that moves beyond high school into early adulthood. While some are well on track for their success stories, the others find themselves spiralling in world of drugs trade, adult content creation, marriage and debt.
"In the beginning, we had to make a choice. About who we were...and what we wanted. But what we didn't realize... was how far we were willing to go," says Rue in a voice over.
The trailer hints at her deeper entanglement in the drug trade, including scenes that suggest Rue is now working as a mule for the cartel. Cassie and Nate's marriage, on the other hand, is tested with her Maddy stepping in to help her with her adult content creation. The clip also hints at Colman Domingo's character Ali, taking centre stage to help get the kids' lives in order. He says, "I used to believe that the world would be a better place if people could empathize. The real disease is that people no longer know the difference between right and wrong."
The trailer ends with Rue saying, "In the end, no matter who you are or what you want...we all answer to God."
