'Doctor Sleep': Ewan McGregor's horror flick to hit screens on November 8

Ewan McGregor is all set to present his next film, the adaptation of Stephen King novel ‘Doctor Sleep’. According to reports, the film that is a sequel to Stanley Kubrick's 1980 classic ‘The Shining’, will get its release in India on November 8.

The makers released a set of new posters that are sure to get any fan excited about the release. This exciting news comes just weeks after the makers released the film’s gripping trailer.

‘The Shining’, which was adapted in 1977 by Stanley Kubrick for a film by the same name starring Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall. This new film, directed by Mike Flanagan, will feature 47-year-old McGregor as Danny Torrance, the grown-up son of Nicholson’s character, who in the original movie had psychic powers and watched his dad descend into a murderous rage.

The story follows Danny, an angry alcoholic dealing with his re-emerging psychic powers by working in a hospice, where he helps dying patients and earns the nickname "Dr. Sleep". Into his life enters Abra Stone, a little girl with psychic abilities of her own, and Torrance finds himself caught up in a battle with a group of murderous kidnappers that want her essence.

Danny Lloyd had portrayed a young Danny Torrance in Kubrick's film. The upcoming film received an R-rating certification from Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) owing to its "disturbing and violent content".
