The official teaser of
Adamya has been unveiled on social media, offering a glimpse into a poetic and powerful love story set to release this Valentine’s Day. Presented by
Aparna Sen and directed by
Ranjan Ghosh, the film draws inspiration from
Deshlai Kathi, a poem by celebrated poet Sukanta Bhattacharya.
Set against a deeply symbolic canvas,
Adamya introduces Palash, a young man likened to a small matchstick carrying an explosive fire within. Guided by the ideals of Shaheed Bhagat Singh and the evocative words of Sukanta Bhattacharya, the narrative blends love, resistance and ideology, inviting audiences to reflect on the meaning of revolution.
Starring Aryuun Ghosh in the lead, the film also features Senjuti Roy Mukherjee, Sourya Madrajee, Arjo Giri, Shubham Dutta, Relish Khan, Debasish Giri and Shankar Biswas, among others. Set in the conflict-ridden Sundarbans, the story follows Palash after a political assassination goes wrong, forcing him to flee as the system turns against him. As he runs, questions arise — is he an extremist or a revolutionary?
Director said Aparna Sen’s association as presenter validates the film’s theme, which examines systemic failure, inequality and youth resistance. Aryuun described
Adamya as a deeply personal journey, calling the film and his character an inseparable part of his life and consciousness.
