Bollywood stars Sunil Shetty, Mithun Chakraborty, Johnny Lever, Yuvika Chaudhary, Mahaakshay Chakraborty, the entire starcast of the upcoming Bollywood action-thriller Enemmy: Law and Disorder visited the City of Joy, Kolkata today for the promotion of their upcoming movie. Addressing the media at a press conference, the stars said, We are glad to come to Kolkata and extremely happy to meet our lovely fans all over the place.
We are here to promote our upcoming action-thriller
Enemmy and hope that people will like it.
The film is set to hit theatres on
June 21, 2013. The plot revolves around Eklavya Karmarkar, aka. Bhau (Sunil Shetty), Naeem Shaikh (
Kay Kay Menon), Eric Collaco (Johnny Lever) and Madhav Sinha aka Maddy (Mahaakshay Chakraborty), four daredevil CID officers and a CBI officer Yugandhar Bishnoi (Mithun Chakraborty) who can be relied upon whenever the city faces problems from the underworld.
Zakir Hussain plays don Mukhtar Memon.
What is interesting is the choice of Johnny Lever as one of the officers. Johnny can be quite intense when he has to. It is this aspect of his that director Ashuu Trikha has tried to explore.
Produced by
Yogeeta Bali Chakraborty (wife of Mithun
da,) the film has music by Bappa Lahiri and Gourav Dasgupta.
Actor Mahaakshay Chakraborty (popularly known as Mimoh Chakraborty), who has shared screen space with his father, veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty in his forthcoming film Enemmy, says it was a nerve-wracking experience for him. Mahaakshay made his acting debut as Mimoh with the film
Jimmy in 2008 and later he was seen in the films like
Haunted 3D and
Loot. Mithun
da stated that he was happy to work with his son and said, "Mimoh is growing as an actor, and I want him to grow...that's the way. Mithun wants his son to carve his own niche. "You have to fight your own battle. I am not one of those fathers who always goes on blessing and praising, that 'yes, everything is good'," he added.
Recently Mahaakshay also made his Tolly debut in a Bengali film
Rocky in which Mithun too had a guest appearance. But the father-son duo in this Bollywood movie Enemmy is fervently awaited to hit the Box office. The entire Chakraborty family is gearing up for it.
Meanwhile, Sunil Shetty while sharing his experience said he loves to do action films - a genre he is glad is back in vogue. "Action has given me image, so I would want to do action. The trend had dipped, but now action is back with a bang. There is action in this film too and is well linked with the story, he explained.
