Outsiders are bribing Kashi voters: Mayawati

constituency of Varanasi, BSP chief Mayawati on Friday alleged that outsiders have been brought in to bribe, or even threaten residents to vote for Modi. The Election Commission has turned a blind eye to it, as it did with incidents in Bengal, she claimed.


"How can free and fair elections be held if outsiders are going to each street, to all homes, and first trying to bribe and then threaten people to vote for Modi so that he can win from Varanasi," she alleged on Friday, the last day of campaigning.

Training guns at EC, she asked why it was ignoring the activity going in Varanasi, like it had ignored recent incidents in Bengal.
