In his message to party workers, Digvijaya Singh said “I am going to file my nomination from Bhopal on April 20 in a peaceful manner. We are not taking out any procession on the occasion. I appeal to all the party workers to observe Model Code of Conduct and not assemble anywhere in groups. We don’t need to show our strength to anyone. You remain vigilant at your Mandlam, sector and booth, we shall definitely win”.
Spokesperson for Digvijaya Singh, Manak Agrawal, when asked whether Digvijaya Singh would go with a few persons in a car to the office of district collector to file nomination, said “Only five persons are allowed inside the office of district collector when you file the nomination. The crowd remains outside. Digvijaya Singh doesn’t want people to gather. He had made an appeal to that effect still people do come, see how it plays out at the time of nomination”.
On the contrary, Scindia supporters have planned a massive road show of their leader from Guna to Shivpuri, where he will file his nomination. Scindia will be on a specially designed chariot, which he will also use during campaigning. On the way, he will stop in towns like Kolaras and Myana to accept greetings from the party workers.
