Booth slips to be distributed in Puducherry from Saturday
In keeping with the instructions of the Election Commission, election officials in Puducherry will start issuing booth slips for the May 16 assembly elections to voters at their doorsteps from Saturday.

District election officer P. Jawahar told reporters on Friday that the booth level officers will issue the slips to the electorate by visiting their homes and will get acknowledgment.
The distribution will be between 6 a.m.
and 6 p.m. till May 11, he added.
Jawahar said that the purpose of the distribution of the slips was to register smooth and speedy polling on May 16 when the Union Territory goes to polls for its 30-member Assembly.
The process of issuing booth slips is scheduled to be completed on May 11, according to the directions of the EC.
